The weekly Wednesday seminar on 29 October 2014, 10.00 a.m., will feature Professor Musa Khanlar ogly Ilyasov (Department of Theory of elasticity and plasticity, IMM) who will talk about “Construction of aerodynamic model of aircraft wing tips”.

About half a century ago the experimental aerodynamics established that the wing tips drop the head resistance of aircraft wing. However, in literature there is in theoretical investigation of this effect. In the talk the construction of the aero dynamical model, the influence of tips on inductive resistance, and analytic solution of the problem are considered.
