The weekly Wednesday seminar on 26 November 2014, 10.00 a.m., will feature leading researcher of “Fluid Mechanics” (IMM) Eldar Mehdi ogly Abbasov who will talk about “Optimization studies of investment project for oil field development under the uncertainty and economic risk”.

The report proposes a unified methodology to determine the optimal project of oil field development based on the results of calculations for various minimax criteria of games theory (Laplace, Hurwitz, Wald, Savage, Hodge-Lehmann) and fuzzy logic theory.
Decision making in risk assessment and selection of the optimal system design is proposed to implement based on the construction of the “matrix of profit” and determination of the optimal field development project in view of the shortcomings of the traditional approach, including uncertainties arising in reserves estimating and, as a consequence of the economic risk.
