Today at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics commemorative event devoted to 20 years of January 20 tragedy was held. Director of IMM doctor of physico-mathematical sciences prof. Misir Mardanov opened the meeting. The victims were commemorated with minute’s silence. Then prof. Misir Mardanov continued his address and spoke about this bloody day. He spoke about bravery of the leader Heydar Aliyev that has estimated this day in proper manner. He spoke about Heydar Aliyev’s love to his country.

Then the sister of former post graduate student of IMM victim of January 20 tragedy Yusif Sadigov, the head of “Therminilogy” department of Nasimi Linguistics Institute of NASA and the co-chairman of Therminology Commission at the Presidium of NASA professor Sayali Sadigova delivered the memorable event about her brother to attention of participants. “She said: the January 20 event is the tragedy not only of our family, but also of whole Azerbaijan and she highly evaluated the bravery of victims in the way of freedom.

The commemorative event was continued by the addresses of professors Nadir Suleymanov and Vagif Guliyev, and chairman of the Council of young scientists Famil Seyfullayev.
