Weekly seminar on September 22, 2015, 10.00 will feature a report by PHD, Abbasov Elkhan Macid ogly, researcher of the Department of “Applied mathematics”, entitled “Mathematical simulation of gas-liquid flow within “heterogeneous reservoir-oil well” system”.

An integrated mathematical model and solutions of the associated nonlinear differential equations describing the unsteady flow of a gas-liquid mixture within “reservoir – oil well” system was built taking into account the deformability and permeability properties. The obtained results allow determining bottom hole and reservoir pressure in abnormally high formation pressure conditions on the basis of known wellhead parameters. It is shown that failure to take account of the deformability of the reservoir may result 30-32% erroneous increase of flow rate.
