Weekly seminar on September 20.04.2016 at 10:00 featured a report by Warsaw Technology University professor P. Gorka. Title of the report: “Compact embedding of Sobolev spaces on noncompact metric spaces”.
The report was devoted to the study of Rellich- Kondrashov type theorem on noncompact spaces. It is well known that in general on noncompact spaces the Rellich- Kondrashov type theorem does not hold.
