The Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS get started to carry out scientific popular lectures and seminars on mathematics for secondary school pupils within the program “Integration of science and education”. The first seminar was held on February 23 at IMM. Director of IMM, professor Misir Mardanov opened the seminar. He said that the scientific-popular seminar organized for increasing interest of pupils to mathematics, for revealing talented pupils in due time are widely used in practice of many scientific centers. Development of Mathematical science and its research in modern world requires training of highly skilled specialists in the field of economy and in other fields of activity of society. Propaganda of Mathematical science between young generation has a great importance from the point of view of training scientific-pedagogical and other specialists in the field mathematics in our Republic. Leading research associate of “Nonharmonic Analysis” department of IMM, cand. phys. math. sci. ass. prof. Vidadi Mirzoyev spoke at this first seminar organized for explanation of creative and application possibilities of mathematics to pupils, interpretation of additional themes not contained in school course and attraction of pupils to scientific research.
The next seminar is planned to be held on March 2.
