Today, director of IMM prof. Misir Mardanov opened the institute seminar and congratulated the institute body on the occasion of the last Tuesday of the year and Novruz Bayram.
Then, prof. Misir Mardanov shared his state of sorrow over the timeless death of leading res. ass. of IMM, philosophy doctor in mathematics Yusufov Vladimir Shamilovich with seminar participants and remembered his memory with a minute silence.
Prof. of Baku State University, doctor of phys. math. sci. Hamlet Guliyev gave a talk on “History of development and some control problems”. The talk deals with initiation of control problems in processes described by partial equations in particular by hyperbolic equations, and its development history.
Then memory of the scientist in the field of functional analysis, differential equations and spectral theory of functions corr. Member of ANAS. Faramaz Gazanfar oglu Maksudov (20.03.1930-30.08.2000) was remembered on the occasion of his 87 years, and of Mais Habib oglu Javadov (22.03.1929-28.09.1992) on the occasion of his 88 years.
