Today the international scientific conference “Theoretical and Applied problems of mathematics” organized by the Ministry of Education, Sumgayit State University, IMM get started. The Conference was opened by rector of Sumgayit State University prof. Elkhan Huseynov. Then, director of IMM corr. Member of ANAS, prof. Misir MArdanov gave a plenary talk on “From history of development of mathematics in Azerbaijan” He spoke about our scientists that had great contribution to development of mathematics and mechanics in Azerbaijan and said that they have always successfully fulfilled their duties in development of science and represented our country with honor. Prof. Misir Mardanov underlined that IMM closely co-operates with a number of science and education centers and gives gift to formation of intellectual personnels.
Then professor of the chair of “general problems of control” of “Mechanics-mathematics” faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University Andrey Fursikov gave a talk on “Normal type parabolic equation and its non-local stabilization related to 3 D Helmholtz system”, head of the chair of “Mathematical Analysis” of branch of Bashkordstan State University, corr. Member of BAS prof. Kamil Sabitov “On non-local problem for mixed type equation”, prof. of the Institute of Applied Mathematics of Tbilisi State University Tamaz Tadumadze on “Some problems of quality properties of retarded argument differential equations; variation formulas of solutions, optimization, sensitive analysis”, head of “Differential Equations” department of Ivan Franko Lvov National University, prof. Mikola Ivancov on “On inverse problem for strongly degenerating heat equation in rectangular domain”, head of “Differential equations and optimization” chair of Sumgayit State University, prof. Fikret Feyziyev on “Development and modern problems of theory of modular dynamic systems”. Talks on functional analysis and functions theory, differential equations and mathematical physics, optimization and optimal control, urgent problems of mathematics and informatics were listened. Conference continues its work in sections. Note that 310 of 385 submitted abstracts were accepted and the proceedings of the Conference was published.
