On 05.06.2017 at 12:00 in the next seminar of the department of “Function Theory”, head of the department Vugar Ismailov will give a talk on “Cycles, semicycles and associated functionals for a sum of subalgebras of C(X)”. In the talk, notions such as a cycle and a semicycle for a sum of subalgebras of the space of continuous functions will be defined. The role of special functionals generated by these notions in the problem of representation of C(X) as a sum of these subalgebras will be discussed.
