Head of “Applied Mathematics” department of IMM, doct. of phys. math. sci. prof. Gabil Garibkhan oglu Aliyev was rewarded with “Isaak Newton” medal by the European Scientific-Industrial Consortium.
Prof. Gabil Aliyev is the first Azerbaijani scientist rewarded with gold “Isaak Newton” medal.

It should he noted that in 2016, by the decision of the Presidium of Academy of Natural sciences of Russian Federation doct. phys. math. sci. prof. Gabil Aliyev was elected a corr. member of this Academy and was rewarded with the order of “Piotr the Great” for
1. a) creation of mechanics of composite materials with regard to mechanical effect of internal mutual influence between structural elements,
b) creation of mechanics of polymer and composite materials with regard to change of physical-chemical properties,
c) creation of special theories of mechanics of mutual influence of chemical change of electro magnetic fields and liquid medium;
2. At the same time for his suggestion of mathematical apparatus of newly developed theories, numerical program packet, for computer simulation and technological lines of strategical goods and his merits before physical-mathematical sciences.
