The Nobel Prize Award Ceremony was held


The Nobel Prize ceremony took place on December 10 in the Norwegian and Swedish capitals.

The Royal Family, the Prime Minister of the country, the members of the government and the members of the Supreme Court also attended the solemn ceremony held with the participation of the King of Norway, Harald V.
Firstly, the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo was presented to Beatrice Fihna, Executive Director of the International Campaign for the Abolition of Nuclear Weapons (ICAN).
Later, the three Nobel Prize in Physics awarded three Americans – Rayner Weiss, Barry Baris and Kip Turner for their decisive contributions to the development of the LIGO detector and the observation of gravitational waves.
American John Joan Frank, Swiss Jacques Dubacket and British Richard Henderson have been awarded the Nobel Prize for Chemistry for microscopy technologies for identifying highly soluble biomolecules.
Nobel Prize in physiology and medicine was presented to American Jeffrey C Holl, Michael Rosbash and Michael Young. They received this award for research on molecular mechanisms called “cell clock” and regulating circus rhythms of the organism.
British writer with Japanese roots Kadzuo Isiguro was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
Nobel Prize in Economics was awarded to Richard H. Taler, a scientist from the University of Chicago, USA, for his research on “behavioral economics.”
The Gold Medal, diploma and sum of 9 million Swedish crowns (about $ 1.06 million), depicting Nobel, were presented to the winners by King Carl Gustav. At the awarding ceremony, all the winners were given the opportunity to perform.
At the end, the Nobel Prize laureates and guests received an official reception.
