Today at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS was held a commemorative event dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the 20 January tragedy. Opening the event, director of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Misir Mardanov shared his impressions on this event with participants.
He noted that the Martyrs’ Alley, where the martyrs, brave sons and daughters of our country sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, became a glorious and glorious chronicle of our sacred and national will. Our Martyrs and Martyrs’ Alley will also be a source of pride for the future generations, as a symbol of our freedom, independence, national will.
Misir Mardanov spoke about prowess of great leader Heydar Aliyev who first evaluated and condemned this bloody event. He mentioned the love of Heydar Aliyev to his country and that he blamed Gorbachov for fear of January 20.
Then he spoke about a post-graduate student of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, the martyr of January 20 tragedy Yusif Sadigov, the brave son of the nation, and his dear memory of him and all our martyrs were commemorated with love.
At the end of the event, the memory of martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.
January 20 tragedy is the honor and heroic page of our history. May Allah have mercy on our martyrs!
