The Balzan Awards 2018 was announced by the International Balzan Foundation.

The award is intended for the following areas:

1.Social Anthropology;

2. Global History;

3. Fluid Dynamics;

4. Chemical Ecology.

Requirements for participation in the competition:

a) The reasons for the nomination and the list of important publications;

b) bibliography, including important publications for candidates for social and humanitarian sciences;

c) A list of 10-20 most important publications for candidates on technical and natural sciences;

d) CV form, including the current position of the candidates, their academic background, date and place of birth, nationality, place of residence and address;

e) New taken photo (high quality).

Each Balzan Award is worth 750,000 Swedish francs. The winner will receive half of the prize, and the second half will be awarded for the research project involving young scientists. The research project will be approved by the Reward Committee. More than one candidate can be nominated on each prize topic. Private applications are not accepted. The candidates are requested to send the information to the International Relations Office of the Presidium of ANAS until March 07, 2018.
