Department of Non-Harmonic Analysis held its weekly seminar today. Senior researcher, associate professor M.Ismailov made a report entitled “On Besselian and Hilbertian systems in Banach spaces.”
Banach space of scalar sequences has been considered, for which the canonical system of unit vectors forms a basis. The concepts of minimal Besselian and Hilbertian systems are extended to this space. Existence criteria are found for these generalized systems and the relationship between them is studied. It is shown that every Hilbert system is minimal. The examples of Besselian systems which are not minimal are given.
