Today, at IMM the regular institute seminar was held. At the seminar, the leading res. ass. of “Functions Theory” department, cand. phys. math. sci. Rashid Aliyev gave a talk on “Approximation of singular and hypersingular integral operators”.

The talk deals with approximation of the Cauchy kernel and Hilbert kernel singular and hypersingular integral operators by the sequence of special type operators. It was shown that the approximating operators retain the main properties of singular and hypersingular integral operators. This enables to get exact results by making less calculations in constructive solution singular and hypersingular integral equations.
