At the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS the seminar of “Creeping Theory” department on the topic “Modern problems of mechanics of deformable solids” was held. At this seminar research associate Mamedova Hijran Ali kizi gave a talk “On one case of determining failure time of a semi-infinite plate in corrosive medium at its deformation by sloping force applied on linear boundary”.

A problem on defining failure time of a corroded material – made semi-infinite plate in corrosive medium under the action of sloping force on a linear boundary, was solved. The value of time corresponding to longevity of a plate under corrosive wear was determined. Restrictions to which should satisfy the force for the existence of critical value of longevity, was found. Time to cracking of the plate under consideration is defined and the threshold force below of which corrosive failure of the plate doesn’t happen, was determined.
