Today, the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS) hosted the next General Seminar. Roald Zinnurovich Sakdeev, Professor of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Hero of Socialist Labor, Lenin Prize Laureate, Professor of the US Embassy in Maryland, Professor of ADA University and National Aviation Academy made a report. Rector of ADA, deputy minister of Foreign Affairs Hafiz Pashayev and vice-rectors of the National Aviation Academy attended the event.

Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Misir Mardanov opened the meeting. He noted that presence of famous world-renowned academician Roald Sagdeev, who made a great contribution to the field of physics, especially to space physics, in our audience it is a very pleasing and memorable event.
The event was followed by a report by academician Roald Sagdeev on the theme “50 years of KAM (Kolmagorov, Arnold, Moser) Theorem”. In his speech, he talked about the stages of his scientific activity and shared his memories about L. Landau, V. Ginzburg, who were his teachers.
Finally, the scientist answered questions of the seminar participants.
