The regular meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS. Annual reports of the departments “Mathematical Physics Equations”, “Applied Mathematics”, “Optimal Control” and “Algebra and Mathematical Logic” were listened.

Then the issue on promotion of the head of “Fluid and gas mechanics” department of IMM, corr. member of ANAS, doct. techn. sci. Geylani Minhaj oglu Panahov to the rank of a professor by the specialty 2003.01 –Fluid, gas and plasma mechanics. It was decided to appeal to the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a result of a secret ballot.
