Presentation of the book “Years and traces of my life” by the First Vice-President of SOCAR, Academician Khoshbakht Yusifzade, was held at the Azerbaijan-French University (UFAZ).

Denis Lemarshal, Country Director of “Total”, said that the book is a compact but detailed account of the last 50 years history of the modern oil industry of Azerbaijan.

Later, the rector of Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, Professor Mustafa Babanli said that the publication reflects different stages of the history of Azerbaijan since the 30s of the last century. He regarded the book “Years and traces of my life” as a manifestation of the oil scientist. He said that the episodes in the publication are a real example for young people today.

Rector said that acad. Kh.Yusifzade attends ASUOI with special attention and noted that the university has established a scholarship on behalf of a prominent scientist and two students have been awarded this scholarship.

Tofig Gahramanov, SOCAR’s Vice President for Strategic Development, said that the book gives a detailed account of the great work of our nation’s leader Heydar Aliyev in the 70s of the last century in the development of the oil industry, especially in the offshore fields.

Then, the President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh said that prominent oil scientist Kh.Yusifzade  devoted the life and scientific activity of a to the discovery and development of oil and gas condensate fields in the country, especially in the Caspian Sea. He emphasized that the book gives extensive coverage to the implementation of the oil strategy of national leader Heydar Aliyev, and Ilham Aliyev being the first vice-president of the State Oil Company at that time.

Speaking at the event, Advisor to the First Vice-President of SOCAR, Alakbar Abbasov and others spoke about the nature of the publication and said that the book was made in a refined manner.

At the end, the author Kh.Yusifzade thanked the organizers of the event.

Note that the book “Years and traces of my life” has been published in Azerbaijani, Russian and Vietnamese.
