Opposite side constantly spreads misinformation in media about Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Taking this into account, I want to deliver you true information based on some facts.

It is known that about 250,000 Azerbaijanis living in Armenia have been expelled from their ancestral lands since 1988, and about one million Azerbaijani citizens have been displaced as a result of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Tens of thousands of innocent people have been killed in this conflict.

The four resolutions № 822, 853, 874, 884 adopted by the United Nations in 1993 called for the immediate, complete and unconditional withdrawal of the Armenian Army from Nagorno-Karabakh and from seven districts that belong to Azerbaijan.

However, for 30 years, Armenian government ignored this resolution as well as the will of the international community and continued its policy of aggression and occupation.

N.Pashinyan, Current Prime Minister of Armenia, trying to disrupt the format and content of the negotiation process mediated by the OSCE Minsk Group, dealt a serious blow to the negotiations and practically brought the conflict settlement process to a standstill.

Armenia’s recent military operations in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan have given Azerbaijan the right to self-defence to ensure the security of its civilians, and Azerbaijan has been forced to counter-attack in accordance with international humanitarian law.

I would like to inform you that as a result of the Armenian military provocation, which began on September 27 this year and continues today, the positions of our military units along the contact line and our residential areas have come under heavy artillery fire.

As a result, along with our servicemen, more than 30 civilians, including women and infants, were killed, more than 200 were injured, and more than 900 houses were damaged or completely destroyed.

The city of Mingachevir, home to the largest hydroelectric power plant in the South Caucasus, came under rocket fire.

Medium-range missiles were fired at Khizi and Absheron, Ganja, Agjabadi, Beylagan, Tartar, Barda, Yevlakh regions, located 300 km from the conflict zone, and dozens of hospitals, schools and kindergartens were destroyed.

Azerbaijan conducted successful counter military operations and liberated part of its occupied lands.

The last days serious battles in the front section continues. Azerbaijan Army successfully carries out its fair mission and writes new pages to the history of victory of our people.
