23.06.2021 at the wide-seminar of Institute of the IMM of ANAS the head of the Department “Function theory” Vugar Ismailov  made a presentation on the theme “The Diliberto-Straus algorithm for the approximation by a sum of algebras.”

In his report, V.Ismailov gave detailed information about the problem of approximation of a continuous function on a compact Hausdorff space by elements of two algebras and discuss the Diliberto-Straus algorithm.  It was shown that under certain conditions, the sequence produced by the Diliberto-Straus algorithm converges to the approximation error. He answered in detail the questions of d.m.s. R. Aliyev, d.m.s. R.Bandaliyev, d.m.s. F.Mamedov.
