On December 2, 2020, Ilham Aliyev signed an order on the establishment of the “Memorial Day” in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The order says, “The state appreciates the courage of the sons and daughters of Azerbaijan who fought in the Great Patriotic War, respects the spirit of all our martyrs, honors their memory. As a sign of deep respect for our soldiers and officers, all our martyrs, guided by paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I decide:
On the initiative of the chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS, ass. prof. Irada Mirzazadeh, on the occasion of the “Memorial Day” some employees of IMM have visited the families of brave martyrs chief sergeant Jafarov Vugar Inshallah oglu, Maharramov Farid Asif oglu, Mammadzadeh Kamaleddin Vugar oglu who reached the peak of eternal immortality fighting to the last drop of blood.
Chief Sergeant Vugar Jafarov was born on March 23, 1991 in Baku.
Vugar received his secondary education at school-lyceum No. 70 in the Nizami district of Baku. He showed great interest in sports and military service from an early age, and after graduating from high school, he went to military service with great enthusiasm. He served in the National Guard of the Special State Protection Service from October 2009 to April 2011. As soon as he became fully committed to the military profession , shortly after completing his active military service , he decided to return to the army and continue his service . Thus, in the ranks of the military unit 67987 of the Internal Troops, he began to honorably fulfill his duty to the Motherland as a long-term active military serviceman. From October 2011, continuing his service as a machine gunner in special assault team conditionally named “Kobra”, V.I. Jafarov was always distinguished with his high combat readiness and exemplary service and repeatedly was awarded by the military commanders, and was awarded the medal “Impeccable Service”.
Jafarov, who has been involved in military operations since the first day of the Second Karabakh War, took an active part in the battles for the liberation of the Murovdagh range, as well as a number of settlements and strategic heights in Fizuli and Jabrayil regions.
October 5, 2020 … The battle in the direction of Jabrayil was Vugar’s last battle.
Chief Sergeant V.Jafarov was buried on October 6, 2020 in the Second Alley of Honor in Baku.
By the relevant orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 15, 2020, December 22, 2020, June 24, 2021, Chief Sergeant Jafarov Vugar Inshallah oglu (after his death) war awarded the medals “For the Motherland”, “For the Liberation of Jabrayil” and “For the Liberation of Kalbajar”.
Farid Asif oglu Maharramov was born in 2002 on February 8 in Baku. He is originally from Jahangirbeyli village of Zangilan region. He started his primary school in 2008 from Khojavend district secondary school. Later, in connection with sports, he continued his education at the secondary school No. 17 of Kalbajar region. He graduated from the 11th grade in 2019. Despite being admitted to the Sports Academy, he gave up his education and went to military service.
On May 25, 2020, he was sent to active military service from the Zangilan district military commissariat.
Despite being a soldier, he volunteered for the war on September 27. On September 29 although he was wounded by a rocket fired by hateful Armenians in the battles in the direction of Talysh village of Agdara region, he managed to save his comrades and lost a lot of blood and heroically rose to the peak of martyrdom. He was handed over to his family on October 6, and was buried in Sumgayit city cemetery on October 7.
On 07.09.2021 by the will of his mother, he was removed from Sumgayit City Cemetery (with the participation of the executive authority) and was buried in Surakhani district in “Dede Korkut” martyrs cemetery.
By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 2349 dated December 15, 2020, Maharramov Farid Asif oglu (posthumously) was awarded the medal “For the Motherland”.
Mammadzade Kamaladdin Vugar oglu was born on September 14, 1999 in the Khatai district of the city of Baku. Kamaladdin graduated from secondary school No. 249 and entered the Faculty of Transport of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction. After 2 years of higher education at AUAC, he froze his education and was sent to military service on 08.01.2020. He served the Motherland for 10 months. His love for his homeland dates back to his childhood. He loved his country, his homeland.
From September 27 to November 8, Kamaladdin took a heroic part in all the battles on the front line. He fought for the liberation of Jabrayil, Zangilan, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Lachin, Khojavend villages, Shusha city, all settlements and heights, and together with their comrades destroyed many enemy tanks. He inflicted heavy blows on the enemy .
He rescued his comrade, who had been severely wounded in the fighting, in order to save his life. On November 8, he was besieged by Armenians in the city of Shusha and was shot in the neck with a sniper.
Posthumously, by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamalleddin was rewarded with the medals “For the Motherland”, “For liberation of Jabrayil, Fizuli and Shusha.
Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Misir Mardanov, speaking at the event held on the occasion of September 27 Memorial Day, noted:
“Our soldiers and officers, our civilians working in the rear, our people as a whole, who showed our determination and will, unity and solidarity as a fist, delivered crushing blows to the enemy.
Many of our compatriots were killed, disappeared, injured and lost their health. Our lands have been liberated from occupation at the cost of the blood and lives of our heroic martyrs, soldiers and officers, veterans. The history written by our victorious Army today is a solid foundation for Azerbaijan, which will develop and prosper even stronger tomorrow. It is also an important factor in ensuring lasting peace, tranquility and security in the region. ”
The leadership of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS thanked the parents who gave brave sons to the Motherland :
“We believe that the memory of our brave sons who died for the Motherland will always live forever in the hearts of our people.”
