On November 4, 2022, an event dedicated to the Victory Day was held under the organization of the Trade Union of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS. Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Misir Mardanov, in his speech, noted that November 8, the date of liberation of our cultural capital Shusha from occupation, was established as Victory Day in our country by the Order of the Head of State Ilham Aliyev. This historical event opens wide opportunities for studying the 30-year occupation the life path of our martyrs, who wrote history with their blood and souls during 44-day Patriotic War, as a school of patriotism, and for analyzing the successes of our state’s decisive position. The scientist emphasized that the fighting experience and tactics of Azerbaijan, which led the war of the 21st century, is studied today in the military schools of the developed countries of the world.

Military journalist, reservist officer, colonel Uzeyir Jafarov, who participated in the event, in his speech said that we are experiencing the joy of our historical Victory, the realities created by the determination of our State, the strength and power of the Azerbaijan Army under the leadership of the victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, and the unity of our people. He emphasized that Azerbaijan has come a long way for the glorious Zafar in the past years. He noted that as a result of President Ilham Aliyev’s hard work as the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, Azerbaijan regained its territorial integrity, and our nation was recognized as a militant, combative and victorious nation in the world. The successes and achievements in all directions had one goal – the liberation of our occupied lands from the enemy and the waving of our flag along all the borders of Azerbaijan. The main mission of Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, as a great statesman and leader of the Azerbaijani people, is to rebuild our cities and villages that were freed from the enemy’s occupation by the power of the state and the people, and to return our compatriots who were displaced from their homes to their homes.

Today, every Azerbaijani is proud to celebrate the liberation of our lands. We are grateful to the victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the brave Azerbaijan Army for giving us this joy and pride.
