In this talk we discuss unconstrained optimization problems where the objective functions are represented as a difference of two convex functions. We discuss new methods for solving such problems including those based on the extension of bundle methods and the difference of convex algorithm. We also present the convergence results for these methods. Some numerical results and applications of the methods in machine learning are demonstrated.
