On 03.10.2024 at 11:00, the next seminar of the “Optimal Control” department will be held. In the seminar, PhD candidate of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Narmina Yusif gizi Gubatova, will give a report on “Application of optimization methods to the solution of some inverse boundary value problems”.

The article will discuss the necessary conditions for a weak local extremum and sufficient conditions for a strong local extremum. Also, special attention will be paid to the case when the functional is square with a square-linear terminal part. The theorem on the terms of the absolute extremum in the quadratic functional case was formulated and proved.
