Today  the  “Optimal Control” department was held its regular seminar. The sen. Res. Ass. of  “Optimal Control” department, doct. of ph. math. sci., prof. Hamlet Guliyev gave a talk on “Reduction of a mixed boundary value problem for the wave equation to an optimal control problem and its study”.

The report was consider the problem of reducing to the problem of optimal control, it is proved that the infinimum of the functional is equal to zero, the differentiability of the functional is investigated and the necessary and sufficient conditions for optimality in the considered problem are introduced.
