April 19, 2017 the next seminar of the department “Equations of Mathematical Physics” was held. At the seminar, with the report on the “Heisenberg and Carnot Groups”, will the chief research officer of the department, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Farman Mammadov and the leading research fellow Ph.D. Abdurrahim Guliyev. During the report, the concept of the metric “Carnot-Caratheodory metrique” was formulated, its main properties and the question of the presence or absence of communication with the Heisenberg group were discussed.
