On 05.06.2017 at 12:00 in the regular seminar of the department of “Function Theory”, head of the department Vugar Ismailov was gave a talk on “Cycles, semicycles and associated functionals for a sum of subalgebras of C(X)”. In the talk, notions such as a cycle and a semicycle for a sum of subalgebras of the space of continuous functions were defined. The role of special functionals generated by these notions in the problem of representation of C(X) as a sum of these subalgebras were discussed.
