08.11.2017 at the General seminar of Institute will make a report the chief scientific employee of the department of the “Differential equation”, d.m.s., prof. Ziyatkhan Seyfaddin oglu Aliyev on the theme “Spectral properties of a class of fourth order differential operators with spectral parameter in boundary conditions”.

The report presents spectral problems for the fourth order ordinary differential operators with spectral parameters in two boundary conditions that arise when describes the bending vibrations of a homogeneous rod, the left end of which is fixed and on the right end and inertial mass is concentrated or on these end a servocontrol force is acting. Information will be provided on the structure of the root subspaces, on the oscillatory properties of eigenfunctions and their derivatives, on asymptotic formulas for eigenvalues and eigenfunctions, and on the basis properties of the eigenfunctions of these problems.
