On December 20, the regular meeting of the Presidium of ANAS was held.
At first, president of ANAS submitted an honorary certificate to acad. secretary of the department of Biological and Medical Sciences, acad. Ahliman Amiraslanov on the occasion of his 70-th anniversary. By the decision of the Presidium, the joint laboratory of physics of circumterrestrial cosmic space of the Institute of Physics, National Aviation Academy, and “Azercosmos”, and also “Integrative biology laboratory” of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnologies and Biophysics, the quantum informatics laboratory at the Institute of Physics and “Mathematical problems of signal processing” laboratory at IMM were created.
At the meeting, the issues of personnel were paid attention.
By the decisions of the Presidium, acad. Valida Alizade was appointed the director of the Institute of Botany, corr. Member of ANAS Tofig Mammadov the director of the Institue of Dendrology. Vasif Abbasov was appointed the director of Experimental industrial plant ltd., philosophy doctor in biology Frolida Mehraliyeva the executive secretary of the Institute of Biphysics of ANAS.
The structure of the Institute of Philosophy had partial changes.
The departments of International Relations and Public Relations were created at the Institute of history of Science.
