On January 31, 2018, the next seminar of the department “Differential Equations” will be held. In the seminar the report of the chief scientific employee of the department “Differential Equations” will be held, d.m.s., prof. Ziyatkhan Seyfaddin oglu Aliyev on the subject “Global bifurcation of positive solutions of semi-linear elliptic partial differential equations with indefinite weight”.

The report will provide information on the existence of an unbounded continua of nonlinear eigenvalue problems for second order uniformly elliptic equations with indefinite weight function and Dirichlet boundary condition contained in the classes of positive and negative functions and bifurcating from the points of the line of trivial solutions corresponding to the principal eigenvalues of the linearized problem.
