Today a meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS. The meeting was opened by the director of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Misir Mardanov. First of all, the attestation of the doctoral students and candidates for a degree of the institute was held.

The members of the Council were acquainted with the decision of the Presidium of ANAS on admission to the dissertation for the preparation of doctor of philosophy and doctor of sciences.

At the meeting, the issue of organizing the defense of the 2nd year master’s thesis of the institute was considered. The issue of sending two scholars of the institute to the prestigious scientific research institutions of Europe for the purpose of completion of postdoctoral scientific researches, was discussed. A corr. member of ANAS, Professor Bilal Bilalov acquainted the members of the council with the decision about his talk made at the meeting of the Presidium of ANAS.

The members of the Council were informed about the results of Republican competition on develoment, solution and financing of scientific research programs for 2018-2020 held by the decision of the Presidium of ANAS on March 14, 2018, and on holding the III International Science Festival.

Finally, the current issues on the agenda were discussed.
