Scientists of the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory made a speech at the Seminar of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS

Today, Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS hosted the Institute seminar. Director of Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory named after Nasreddin Tusi, corresponding member of ANAS Namik Jalilov and a group of observatories attended the seminar.

At the seminar, scientific workers of the Department of Cosmic Plasma and Heliogeophysical Problems reported some of the mathematical problems encountered in solving astrophysical issues.

Firstly, Ph.D., dos. Mirnamik Bashirov made a report entitled “Some solutions of MHD transfer equations for anisotropic solar wind model”. The system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations obtained for anisotropic solar plasma and some of its solutions were discussed.

Then j.r.a. Rajab Ismayilli presented a report titled “Magnit-hydrodynamic Kelvin-Helmholtz type instability of anisotropic solar wind plasma”. The report outlines the plasma insufficiencies and the mathematical difficulties arising from contact surfaces of various rapid streams of solar wind.

Then r.a. Mahir Pirguliyev made a presentation on the topic “Distinguished low density special vibrations of the Sun, differentiated with magnetic field effects.” Discussions on the emergence of long-term oscillating Rossbi-type global vibrations, their relationship to global variations in the climate of the Earth and the mathematical difficulties of the physical problem were carried out.

As a result, a working group was set up to assist them in solving mathematical issues presented by the observatory staff.
