On 09-th  April 2025 at 10:00 a.m., at the Institute-wide seminar Chief Researcher employee of the department “Functional analysis”, doctor of mathematical sciences, prof. Elshad Hatam ogli Eyvazov will speak  with a report on the topic “On the Sum of Negative Eigenvalues of the Three-Dimensional Schrödinger Operator”.

Abstract of the report. M. Demuth and G. Katriel proved the finiteness of the sum of negative eigenvalues of the d-dimensional Schrödinger operator under certain conditions on the electrical potential for d 4. They also posed the following question: Is the restriction d 4 a disadvantage of the method, or does it reflect the actual situation? In this report we show that the method of these authors also works for the three-dimensional Schrödinger operator with Kato potential whose negative part is an integrable function and that this method does not apply to the two-dimensional Schrödinger operator.
