Weekly seminar on September 27.02.2019, 10:00 a.m. will feature a report by corresponding member of ANAS, head of the Fluid Mechanics Department Geylani Minhaj oglu Panahov, entitled “Control of capillary instability under hydrodynamic impact on the oil saturated reservoir”.

The report will reflect the results of a study of the impact of capillary effects in porous media on the process of oil displacement. The possibility of regulating capillary instability in a reservoir system under water flooding, taking into account the Marangoni effect and successive periodically increasing hydrodynamic pressure, is shown. The necessity of taking into account both the displacement conditions and the physicochemical characteristics of fluid-saturated reservoirs is substantiated.
