The institute Seminar on “Upper limit of Use of Mathematical Methods in Economic Research”was held

Today, Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS hosted a seminar on the topic “The upper limit of the use of mathematical methods in economic research”.
Opening the event, Director of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Misir Mardanov noted that the seminar was held under the Presidential Order dated 9 April 2018 on the establishment of the Science Day. The scientist also said that March 14 is one of the days that Mathematicians have celebrated. The international “Pi Day” in the world is celebrated on the 3rd of July, 3rd, 3rd. It is remarkable that the director of the Institute of Economics of ANAS, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Nazim Imanov spoke at the institute’s seminar on the eve of such important days.
Then the lecture of Professor Nazim Imanov was listened. He spoke about the importance of using mathematical methods in economic research, the upper and lower limits of the use of mathematical methods, theoretical and practical issues. He said that the application of mathematical methods would lead to a deeper economic research and clear scientific results. In addition, he emphasized that the extensive use of mathematical methods led to the removal of economics from reality, leading to false scientific results and wrong economic decisions.
N.Imanov also noted that it is not possible to define the upper limits of the mathematical application of economic studies in terms of mathematical methods and quantitative indications: “The lower the economist’s mathematical knowledge, the lower is the lower limit. The economic research of a mathematician who is not economically inexperienced can lead to great dangers”.
Speaking about the research carried out at the Institute of Economics, he said that the level of moderation in the economy of the state on the basis of the methodology presented by the enterprise in 2014 was estimated at 6 sectors. It has been established that, as a rule, the regulation of education and health systems is based on the superiority of the conductor principles, and the regulation of science, foreign trade, tourism and the pension system based on the superiority of liberal principles.
The report was warmly welcomed by the participants, extensive discussions were held around the topic and questions were answered.
