May 17, 2023, at 10:00 a.m, at the IMM all-institute seminar, the senior researcher of the Department of Non-harmonic Analysis Huseynli Ali Abbas oghlu d.m.s. will speak on the topic “A Chebyshev type alternation theorem for best approximation by a sum of two algebras”. In the work a Chebyshev type alternation problem for best approximation by a sum of two closed subalgebras of the space of real-valued continuous functions defined on a compact metric space is investigated.
