The special issue of the famous american journal “Journal of Coupled Systems and Multiscale Dynamics” was devoted to 60 years of prof. Mesud Efendiyev. The introductory part of the journal informs the readers about his biography and scientific activity of the scientist. All the papers in the journal have been devoted to Mesud Efendiyev’s 60 years. The opening address was given by professors Sianhong Wu and Hermam Eberl, the well known scientists in the field of mathematical biology.
