A group of Azerbaijani scientists led by the Vice-President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences academician Ibrahim Guliyev on November 20 – 26, 2015 participated in the solemn meeting in Moscow devoted to the 25 anniversary of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS). Senior researcher of the Fluid Mechanics Department Eldar Abbasov was attended in celebration of the RANS anniversary.
The meeting was held in the hall of solemn assemblies of Moscow Christ the Savior Cathedral, attended by President of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Academician Oleg Kuznetsov, vice-presidents of the Academy of Lida Ivanitskaya, Azizaga Shahverdiyev and a number of leading scientists and public figures of the Russian Federation. The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences is one of the decisive factors in the development of science and technology in Russia, uniting Russian eminent scientists, cultural workers and artists, businessmen and politicians. Priority research areas developed by Natural Sciences, including the most important areas of modern science and culture, rightly make the Academy an important center for the development of innovative technologies in Russia.
While staying at the Academy of Natural Sciences, Eldar Abbasov held meetings with representatives of the leading scientific institutions of Moscow, while discussing the possibility of joint scientific and technological research.
At the same time, he took part in the exploratory session held at the central office of Russian oil company “LUKOIL” carried out by a GCC Group Corp. (PRC), on best practices and interpretation of borehole and seismic data, as well as discussed the joint work of Russian, Chinese and Azerbaijani scientists in the application of new geophysical methods on the Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation.
