The book of director of IMM, ANAS, professor M. Mardanov and head of the department of “Scientific-technical information” prof. Ramiz Aslanov “Azerbaijan Predecerssors of modern mathematics” was published in “Prometey” publishing house.
The book was devoted to life, activity and successes of outstanding representatives of Azerbaijan mathematical school. The materials and facts represented in the essays were first reflected in this book. The book consisting of 516 pages gives information on life and activity of such outstanding scientists as Nasireddin Tousi, Mammad bey Efendiyev, Vladimir Tartakovsky, Zahid Khalilov, Ashraf Huseynov, Ibrahim Ibrahimov, Majid Rasulov, Qoshgar Ahmedov, Yahha Mammadov, Faramaz Maksudov, Mirabbas Gasymov, Mais Javadov, Yaroslav Lopatinsky and others..
